Christina Stockdale
A native of Philadelphia, Ms. Stockdale started
dancing at the age of five. She received her
training at the Rock School of the Pennsylvania Ballet and the Academy of
International Ballet under Anastasia Babayeva, Denis Gronostayskiy,
Christopher Fleming, Bo and Stephanie Spassoff and many others.
In 2005 Ms. Stockdale was a finalist in the
international ballet competition, Youth America Grand Prix.
Following high school graduation in 2005,
Ms. Stockdale joined Manassas Dance Company as a soloist where she danced
for two seasons performing "Mina" in Dracula, "The Butterfly" in
A Midsummer Night's Dream, and various roles in The Nutcracker,
Coppeli" and many others. For the
2007/2008 season, Ms. Stockdale moved to the west coast to perform with
Ballet Bellevue and join the faculty of Ballet Bellevue School.
Some of Ms. Stockdale's featured roles with
Ballet Bellevue have included "The Lilac Fairy" in The Sleeping Beauty,
"Jack Frost" in The Snowman, and Le Corsaire (pas de deux),
as well as her performance of works by contemporary choreographers Stacy
Lowenberg, Kabby Mitchell, and Jennifer Porter. She has also performed as a
guest artist in The Nutcracker and Giselle for Northwest
Ballet Theatre and International Ballet Classique in Philadelphia
