Kara Rochelle Dominick
Kara Rochelle Dominick received her early training at Ballet Basics from
Connie Benson, and at Ballet Idaho Academy in Boise, ID under the direction
of Jeff and Cathy Giese and Lisa Moon. She has attended summer workshops in
Twin Falls, ID and San Francisco, CA at Alonzo King's
LINES Ballet. In May 2006 she graduated magna cum laude from Cornish College
of the Arts where she performed in works by Patricia Hon, Wade Madsen,
Donald Byrd, Jose Limon, Martha Graham and others. This past year she was
the dance ambassador for Lululemon Athletica in Bellevue, WA. Currently, she
is in her fourth season dancing with Dance Contemporary in Seattle, WA and
her second year teaching ballet at American Dance Institute in Seattle, WA.
This is Kara's third season with Ballet Bellevue. While with the company she
has performed in a wide range of pieces from classical to contemporary,
including artistic director Jennifer Porter's "Velvet Romance" and "The
Snowman." A few of her favorite roles have been dancing in "Coppelia,"
"Sleeping Beauty," and Angela Sterling's "Trio d'Amore." She looks forward
to the continued challenge of expanding her repertoire and her artistry.
